Kingsmill Police Department is comprised of over 25 members that exclusively work within the jurisdiction of Kingsmill on the James. These members are divided up into three shifts and are assigned to the sections of Patrol, Emergency Dispatching and Public Safety.
Command Staff and Administration:
Sergeant Robert Glover: A-Shift Supervisor. Has been serving at KMPD since 1996. Sgt. Glover is a DCJS certified instructor, field training officer and the department’s weapons armorer and instructor. Prior to serving with KMPD, Sgt. Glover served as a Sheriff's Deputy with Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department and served our country as an airborne infantryman with the United States Army. email@example.com
Sergeant Jeffrey Barnes: B-Shift Supervisor. Has been serving at KMPD since 1994. Sgt. Barnes is a graduate of Thomas Nelson Community College and Christopher Newport University. Sgt. Barnes is a DCJS certified instructor, field training officer and teaches CPR and First Aid classes to fellow officers and the community. firstname.lastname@example.org
Sergeant Mark Beaver: C-Shift Supervisor. Has been serving at KMPD since 2010. Sgt. Beavers is a DCJS certified instructor, field training officer, as well as a fatal accident investigator and FBI Hostage Negotiator. Sgt. Beavers is a graduate of Saint Leo University with a degree in Criminology. Prior to serving with KMPD, Sgt. Beavers was with the Hampton Police Division, retiring at the rank of Captain in 2007. Debra Edwards: Administrative Assistant. Has been serving KMPD since 2018. Prior to coming to KMPD Debbie served in the United States Air Force for more than a decade, working throughout the nation and the world. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to KMPD.
